Rev. Isaac Owusu-Bempah, the founder and leader of the Glorious Word Power Ministries International, has declared that it is through John Dramani Mahama the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) that Ghana will see development.
This proclamation was made during a prayer session for Mahama at the De Icon Event Centre in Accra on October 1, 2024.
Rev. Owusu-Bempah, who has often been associated with the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), led the group of clergymen in prayer as they laid hands on the kneeling Mahama.
In his prayer, Owusu-Bempah said, “This is whom you have elected to lead Ghana at a time like this. No power can stop it. It is through him that this country will see development. This is the day you have made and have established him on the presidential seat in Jesus’ name, amen.”
The event was organized to provide an opportunity for the former President to engage with leaders of the Christian faith and share his vision for the country ahead of the December 7 elections. It also served as a time of worship, prayer, and fellowship in the presence of God.
Mahama expressed his appreciation to the attending religious leaders, particularly to Rev. Owusu-Bempah, whom he described as a “good friend” despite the clergyman’s known political affiliations.
Among the other pastors present were Rev. Sam Korankye Ankrah, founder and leader of Royal House Chapel International; Rev. Dr. Stephen Yenusom Wengam, General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God Church; and Rev. Kwaku Agyei Antwi, popularly known as Rev. Obofour among others.
