Bernard Mornah, Desmond Abrefah, Dan Lartey Jnr file nomination forms

Bernard Mornah, the Presidential candidate of the People’s National Convention (PNC), along with independent aspirant Desmond Abrefah, have officially submitted their nomination forms for the upcoming December elections.

Dr. Daniel Lartey Jnr, flagbearer of the Great Consolidated People’s Party (GCPP), has also filed his forms.

This brings the total number of presidential hopefuls who have submitted their nominations to 19.

Speaking after submitting his forms at the Electoral Commission headquarters in Accra, Mornah expressed confidence that the PNC would make a notable impact in the upcoming elections.

Independent candidate Afrifa highlighted his plan to employ the military to combat illegal mining and create jobs for the youth if elected president.

Dr. Lartey urged the Electoral Commission to conduct the December elections with integrity, sincerity, and honesty, emphasizing that the fairness of the polls is crucial for the country’s democracy.

On Monday, September 9, 2024, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and John Dramani Mahama, flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) submitted their nomination forms.

Dr Hassan Ayariga of the All-People’s Congress (APC), Samuel Apea-Danquah of Yellow Ghana, and independent candidate George Twum Barima Adu, Nana Kwame Bediako, popularly known as Cheddar, also submitted their nomination forms at the Electoral Commission’s (EC) headquarters on Monday.

On Thursday, September 12, Akua Donkor, leader of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), Janet Nabla, flagbearer of the People’s National Party (PNP), and Nana Frimpomaa Sarpong Kumankumah all successfully submitted their nomination forms for the upcoming December 7th elections.

The three women, known for their bold and outspoken political stances, went to the EC office on Thursday to complete the necessary formalities.
