General Secretary of the NDC, Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, in a notice to the Regional Police Command, said the demonstration, which is scheduled for Tuesday, September 17, is a measure to demand that the EC ensures a “free, fair, transparent and peaceful elections” on December 7.

The NDC met the EC on Thursday, September 5, to “discuss very serious discrepancies discovered during the ongoing 2024 voter exhibition exercise. The discrepancies emanate from analysis of the Provisional Voter Register (PVR) given to us by the Commission, and registers being exhibited at the centres.”

The party’s leadership alleged that the EC is planning to rig the elections to favour the New Patriotic Party (NPP), which it said will not be tolerated.

The demonstration will commence at the Kwame Nkrumah interchange at 7.00 am through Parliament House and terminate at the corporate office of the Electoral Commission of Ghana at Ridge, Osu.
