Asantehene urges finance minister to sustain positive strides for the people of Ghana –

The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has commended the Finance Minister, Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam, for his good work and urged him not to rest on his laurels.

According to the Asantehene, Ghanaians have high expectations of the government, and it is good that the Minister, who came to seek his blessing upon his appointment, is living up to those expectations.

He made these comments when the Minister for Finance, Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam, Deputy Finance Minister Dr. Stephen Amoah, Chief Director of the Ministry Ms. Eva Mends, and other officials of the Ministry visited him at the Manhyia Palace to celebrate his 74th Birthday and 25 years of distinguished leadership as the Asantehene.

“I am pleased to see you and your team here to wish me a long life and good health. I observe and hear everything that happens, and I have no doubt about your competence and dedication to your work. Your visits to institutions and impressive performance give us confidence that the economy will recover from its current situation. Keep up the good work,” the Asantehene said.

“Your collaboration with the leadership of the Bank of Ghana is commendable, and I am confident that Ghanaians will soon see the positive impact of the measures you have taken to restore confidence in the economy,” the respected king added.

He further emphasized the importance of the Minister continuing to work together with Ministry officials to achieve even greater success for the people of Ghana.

The Minister for Finance, Dr. Amin Adam, expressed his gratitude to the Asantehene for his contributions to Ghana’s growth and development.

Dr. Amin Adam found it heartwarming to join the rest of the world in extending well wishes to the occupant of the Golden Stool on such a special occasion.

The Minister described the Asantehene as a great leader whom God has blessed the country with, emphasizing the importance of valuing such a “treasure” who has dedicated 25 years of his life to serving Ghana.

“Nana, we are here to thank you for your kind words. I can assure you that, together with my team, we will meet your expectations and ensure that we bring smiles to the faces of Ghanaians,” he stated.
