Ghana’s 4x100m relay team, together with Nigeria and Liberia, celebrated together after booking tickets to the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
In a video sighted by GhanaWeb Sports, the three countries united in the mixed zone to celebrate the qualification as they sang at the top of their voices in celebration of the moment.
Ghana and Nigeria ran in the same heat for the Men’s 4x100m, with the former taking the first spot while the latter secured the second spot.
Team Ghana won the heat with a time of 38.29s, while Nigeria ran a time of 38.57s to finish second.
Liberia clinched an Olympic spot after finishing second in their heat behind Germany.
Africa will have four representatives in the Men’s 4x100m relay at the 2024 Olympic Games after South Africa also secured a spot, clocking 38.08s to win their heat.
Meanwhile, in the Women’s 4x100m, Nigeria will be Africa’s sole representative after winning their heat, clocking 42.71s.
