Sammy Baah Flex, the current manager of Dancehall musician, Shatta Wale has waded into the issue between Ghanaian politician, Samuel Nartey George better known as Sam George, and Director-General of the National Sports Authority, Peter Twumasi over the amount Stonebwoy paid before he could use the Accra Sports Stadium for his Bhim Concert December last year.
Sam George and Peter Twumasi are currently debating over the amount Stonebwoy paid before he could use the Accra Sports Stadium.
This comes after the Director-General of the National Sports Authority, Peter Twumasi during the Public Accounts Committee held on February 5 said that Stonebwoy paid 70k to use Accra Sports Stadium for his Bhim Concert in December last year.
During the Public Accounts Committee, the member of parliament questioned the Director-General of the National Sports Authority what the money they received from the musician was used for and if there was any profit at the end of the day.
Mr. Peter Twumasi, per reports, stated that part of the money was used to renovate the Accra Sports stadium after Stonebwoy’s show, however, the profit they got at the end of everything was encouraging.
The Member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram has said that there is no iota of truth in what Peter Twumasi has said, claiming he and his team have squandered about 99k of the payment they received from Stonebwoy.
Sam George stated that even though he has not gotten the opportunity to speak to Stonebwoy yet, his credible source of information told him that Stonebwoy never paid 70k cedis but 169k cedis.
He claims he did not believe it when he was first told, and he never wanted to talk about it until he got concrete evidence from his source of information to buttress his claims.
According to him, he has seen a copy of the contract that the NSA signed with Stonebwoy, and per his checks and the available payment receipt, the musician first paid 70k Ghana cedis, and paid another cheque of 70k cedis and made a final payment of 29k cedis.
Reacting to this, Sammy Flex has subtly said that Stonbebwoy paid more than 70k as is being said by Peter Twumasi.
Sammy Flex in a video sighted by Ghbase.com claims he does not care about the precise amount Stonebwoy paid, his problem has to do with the bad treatment the NSA gave them when they also needed the venue for their program.
“I’m not even bothered about the grass or how much was taken. My concern was the fact that the minister said Stonebwoy’s people needed four days to set up. Yet he expected us to use just a day to set up”, he said.
Speaking about the amount Stonebwoy paid, Sammy Flex said that when their team went for the venue, they were asked to pay 150k Ghana Cedis before they could get it.
“The professor at the PAC is telling Sam Dzata that he took GHC 70,000 for the use of the stadium. But as far as I know, the raw figure for use of the stadium was GHC 150,000, alongside other discussions like ambulance services, lights, and power,” he said.
Meanwhile, Stonebwoy is yet to break the silence on the issue.
