Afua Asantewaa Pays 750 Dollars to Guinness World Record- Here Is Why

Guinness World Record sing-a-thon attemptee, Afua Asantewaa has revealed that she has paid a total amount of 750 dollars to the Guinness World Record.

Afua Asantewaa was speaking in an interview on Joy News when she made this disclosure.

Guinness World Record in response to a fan divulged that Afua Asantewaa should be in anticipation that her result will be out soon.

We’ve been reviewing Afua’s evidence and will be letting her know the results soon”, they replied to a fan via Twitter.

Afua Asantewaa believes it ti taking too long for her to see her results as she claims it takes not more or less than 12 weeks for a normal review by the Guinness World Record.

She disclosed that to facilitate things, she and her team decided to pay for the premium review so that she would get to know her results soon.

She revealed that it takes between 1 and 5 business days for a premium review which costs 650 dollars.

According to her, by the end of everything, she spent 750 dollars which is equivalent to 9,286, because, apart from the 650 dollars for the premium she was being asked to pay other fees.

“Because of the popularity of the event they requested for our files. After two weeks of waiting, we requested a priority review. The normal review takes not less or more than 12 weeks. But if you want it quick you pay an amount of money and they review your file within five working days,” she said.

On December 24, 2023, Afua Asantewaa embarked on a task to set the record for the longest-singing marathon in the Guinness World Record.

The historic event took place in Akwaaba village, located in Accra, Ghana.

Vice President, Bawumia, Sarkodie, Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Kuami Eugene, Kwabena Kwabena, Lilwin, and Becca, among other personalities, went to support her.
