Former Chief Executive Officer of UT Bank, Kofi Amoabeng has disclosed that in times of adversity, one has no real friends but in prosperity, one has numerous friends.
Speaking with EIB Network boss, Bola Ray on Starr Chat, Kofi Amoabeng has revealed that he is very rich presently.
According to him, he did not just become the Kofi Amoabeng people see today on a silver platter.
He shockingly revealed that there was a time when he had no option but to use a watch and a pair of shoes for more than 20 years.
He claims he recently changed the watch after becoming the brand ambassador for Caveman which happens to be a watch company.
“I have been wearing the same watch and shoe for 20 years, but now I am the brand ambassador for Caveman so I have changed it,” he said.
He added that it becomes very difficult and confusing for one to identify their real friends when they have money.
“When you have money, a lot of people gravitate towards you. It’s hard to tell who your real friends are, and that’s confusing,” he added.
