Shatta Wale sent a special thank-you message to the DJs at the African Cup of Nations tournament in Ivory Coast after his song was heard playing at the stadium.
Ghana might have been out of the ongoing African Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament, but their music is currently making a huge impact in Ivory Coast.
In a video that has been shared by Shatta Wale, the dancehall musician’s song titled “My Level” could be heard being played at a loud volume in one of the stadiums.
From the video, it looked like it was recorded before one of Ghana’s group games at the tournament, and Ghanaian supporters who could be seen in the Black Stars current Jeseys were singing the song word for word at the stadium.
Shatta Wale reacted to the adorable video by sharing it on his Facebook page. He thanked the DJs for making an impact at the tournament with music.
“Thanks to the DJs at the AFCON in Ivory Coast, l see all the love. I appreciate. One Africa” he wrote.
‘My Level’ was released back in 2018 and was undeniably one of Shatta Wale’s biggest songs not only that year but also in his entire career, having bagged multiple awards with it.
It is therefore not a surprise that even in 2024, the tune is still making a huge impact and being played at a tournament as big as the African Cup of Nations (AFCON).
