Angry Ghanaians have fired some shots at the first gentleman of the country, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
The president has told the traditional leaders of the Ekumfi that he intentionally decided not to develop the Ekumfi town.
According to him, he had an initial plan to develop the town but everything changed along the way after he noticed something he was not happy with.
Akufo Addo said that the town had an NPP MP and it was because of that he wanted to do his best to develop the town, however, they voted against the NPP MP and voted for an NDC MP.
Following this speech, Ghanaians have heavily descended on the president, saying that even though he is very old, he lacks sense.
“Not all that is old is wise,” a netizen said.
“Same energy he gave voltarians,” Wanlov da Kubolor said.
‘Wei.. Wei. You voted for this thing to be president.. Wei’ another netizen said.
Akuffo Addo Tells Voltarians They Did Not Vote For Him

Some Ghanaians are not taken aback at all by what the president has said because this is not the first time they have heard something of this sort.
Recall that on May 15, the people of the Volta Region experienced destruction caused by the spillage of excess water from the Akosombo and Kpong dams.
Speaking to the chiefs and people of Mepe on Monday, 16 October 2023, Mr Akufo-Addo said: “Togbe, I want the people here, beginning with you, and the elders to understand that when something like this happens and government acts, the government is acting for Ghanaians, for all Ghanaians”.
“I came here because Ghanaians are having difficulties and are suffering, and it is my responsibility to try and help. Because if it were a question of counting who votes for me and who doesn’t vote for me, then I wouldn’t be here because you don’t vote for me. But that is not my concern. And in any event, one day you will vote for me and my party”, the president added.
