Ladies and gentlemen, in case you are one of those crushing on musician Ded Buddy or you intend to send your love proposal to vocalist Ama Nova, it’s too late for you to take action now because you ain’t going to succeed.
Renowned R&B singer Eric Kwasi Okine Turkson, known popularly as Ded Buddy, is off the market after he exchanged marital vows with Ghanaian female vocalist Ama Nova.
Ded Buddy, a graduate of Prince of Peace International School and Havard College, established his presence in the Ghanaian hip-hop industry over a decade ago and is known very well as a good singer and songwriter.
Nicknamed the Ladies Ma, Ded Bunny decided to settle down with his longtime girlfriend, AMA Nova and their beautiful marriage ceremony took place at The Page Centre, Sakaman, a suburb of Dansoman in Accra, on Saturday, January 6, 2024.
The pair have been dating for a while now, with many knowing about it although they have always been on the low with a lifestyle of keeping their issues private and away from social media.
Photos and videos of their lovely marriage ceremony emerged online, leading to a large number of well-wishers congratulating them on their union.

Ded Buddy speaks about his relevance

Ded Buddy is not happy with the way the old Gs in the music game are being treated and are mostly retired just to pave the way for the young, with the excuse that they have been in the system for too long.
According to him, pushing experienced musicians out of the system will not help but rather spell doom for the growth of Ghana’s music industry.
“Shatta Wale has been leading the campaign on this for a very long time but it appears he is not getting the needed support. People are rather quick to judge him, saying he is envious of the younger ones, but that is not true.
“From where I stand, I perfectly understand him because I don’t know why people even think or label artistes as ‘former musicians’. Where in the world has anyone been given that title? It’s only in Ghana.
“It’s like we have no regard for experience in our music industry. But in our culture, for instance, when there are difficult situations, it is suggested to seek the counsel of the old woman—”‘we’re going to ask the old’”woman’”—which signifies the importance of age and experience.
“So why is it that when it comes to music, it is believed that those who are old and have been in the system for a long time are rather irrelevant and we will be calling for new and fresh faces? I just don’t get this,” he said.
