His wife, who shares his love for Lolita fashion, not only approves of his unusual dressing style but regularly helps him put on his makeup. D-Jiang said that he doesn\u2019t really care what others think of his unique dressing style, because what\u2019s important is that he likes it.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Photo: New People<\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf I like the Lolita style, then I should wear it myself. Besides, I\u2019ve already bought a lot of dresses in that style, so why not wear them?\u201d D-Jiang told Chinese magazine New People. \u201cI believe that clothing has no gender. When I wear a dress, it does not mean that I am wearing women\u2019s clothes. A dress is just a dress in itself.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The former computer programmer said that the decision to adopt his favorite fashion style on a daily basis was inspired by a series of tragic life events. In 2019, he lost a number of elderly relatives, as well as the pet cat he had had for 10 years, which made him realize life was short and precious, and that he should do what his heart tells him.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-79490 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/gp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/D-Jiang-Lolita4-750x421.webp.webp\" alt=\"\" width=\"750\" height=\"421\"\/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Photo: New People<\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen I take the time to dress up nicely and put on a beautiful dress, I feel like I\u2019m making the most of my time,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scmp.com\/news\/people-culture\/gender-diversity\/article\/3233480\/clothes-have-no-gender-married-man-china-wears-makeup-and-lolita-dresses-work-each-day-urges\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">D-Jiang said<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The 36-year-old married man reportedly spends around two hours every morning meticulously putting on makeup, doing his long hair, and choosing a dress out of an impressive wardrobe of about 200 garments. He also keeps a spreadsheet of the frequency of wear for each dress.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-79488 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/gp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/D-Jiang-Lolita2-750x420.webp.webp\" alt=\"\" width=\"750\" height=\"420\"\/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Photo: New People<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Although D-Jiang admits that his passion for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.odditycentral.com\/news\/shanghais-little-princess-of-anfu-road-is-an-unlikely-inspiration-for-everyone.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lolita culture<\/a> is the main motivation for his daily dressing habits, he says that the routine has also given him a deeper understanding of the challenges that women face.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen I <a href=\"https:\/\/www.odditycentral.com\/news\/guy-proves-skirts-and-high-heels-can-look-good-on-men-as-well.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">dress like a woman<\/a> in my daily life, I can feel the various inconveniences that women experience,\u201d he said. \u201cBeing a woman presents a particular set of problems and issues.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-79489 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/gp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/D-Jiang-Lolita3-750x420.webp.webp\" alt=\"\" width=\"750\" height=\"420\"\/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Photo: New People<\/em><\/p>\n<p>D-Jiang\u2019s story recently went viral on Chinese social media, and the general reaction has been positive.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPursuing beauty should be devoid of gender restrictions,\u201d one person commented.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHis wife is amazing.
