PEPT wants Supreme Court to disqualify my appeal \u2013 Atiku cries out<\/p>\n

Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has lamented the failure of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal to make available a certified copy of the judgment, three days after it was delivered<\/p>\n
Atiku\u2019s lawyers are yet to get a copy of the judgment.<\/p>\n
The lawyers are said to have formally applied to the court for certified true copies as of Friday.<\/p>\n
The former Vice President and his team of lawyers have just 14 days to approach the Supreme Court with their appeal against the PEPC ruling.<\/p>\n
Atiku spoke in a statement signed by his Special Assistant on Public Communications, Phrank Shaibu.<\/p>\n
The statement said, \u201cBy not making available to Atiku Abubakar, Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, the certified true copies of the judgment of Wednesday for its filings at the Supreme Court, the Presidential Election Petition Court, is undermining Atiku\u2019s and Nigerians quest for justice.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rotimi Akeredolu, governor of Ondo, has officially resumed duty after a three-month medical vacation in Germany.<\/p>\n
On Thursday, Akeredolu returned to Nigeria from Germany where he spent three months.<\/p>\n
The governor was welcomed by his close aides at his residence in Ibadan, Oyo state.<\/p>\n
On Friday, Akeredolu met with stakeholders from the state, Olamide Oladiji, speaker of the assembly, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, deputy governor, and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), at his residence in Ibadan.<\/p>\n
During the meeting, Akeredolu handed over his resumption letter to Oladiji and provided a copy to Aiyedatiwa.<\/p>\n
The governor said by the grace of God, he will be \u201calive\u201d to complete his tenure, which ends in February 2025.<\/p>\n
\u201cI came back yesterday, and as you know, it was a long journey. I decided that I must meet with you today,\u201d the governor was quoted in a statement by Richard Olatunde, his media aide<\/p>\n

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo state has criticised Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for going to his Ibadan residence after his three-month medical vacation abroad.<\/p>\n
It said the action of the governor amounted to disrespecting the people of Ondo state who it said have been praying for his recovery.<\/p>\n
The Ondo PDP alleged that Akeredolu has relocated his government and state Assembly to his Ibadan residence.<\/p>\n
The spokesman for the Ondo PDP, Kennedy Peretei, in a statement, also knocked the wife of the governor, Betty, for posting a picture of her husband in an aircraft with the caption \u201cHomebound.\u201d<\/p>\n
Peretei said the First Lady assumed the role of Akeredolu\u2019s media handlers as there was no official release about the governor\u2019s return.<\/p>\n

The governor of Taraba State, Agbu Kefas, has said that he has laid foundation for an economically viable state with strong security architecture in the first 100 days he was sworn in as governor of the state.<\/p>\n
Speaking during a ceremony held at the Taraba State House Exco Chambers to mark his 100 days in office, the governor made a commitment to bring further positive change, progress, and prosperity to Taraba State.<\/p>\n
According to him, the state has also progressed in infrastructure development, which would be used to set the course for the future.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn these first 100 days, we have achieved significant milestones Infrastructure Development Agricultural Transformation, Education and Skill Development, Healthcare Access, Security and Civil Service Reform,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n
The governor also disclosed that his administration has prioritised the prompt payment of salaries, pensions and entitlements.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have initiated key infrastructure projects across the state, with a focus on improving our road networks, health care facilities, and educational institutions. Progress has been made, but there is more to be done to ensure access to quality services for our citizens.![](\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/3b7151ebbc0b4ec58202bb38709ec544\"\/)
