He has been photographed holding a sign that reads \u201cI want to go to prison\u201d and he told journalists that he has already met with the prison warden who has so far denied his voluntary incarceration. M\u00e1rquez, who reportedly suffers from cancer, depression, anxiety, and heart problems, said that he is desperate to \u201cstop being lonely 24 hours a day,\u201d and that prison is his best option to do that.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Photo: <a href=\"https:\/\/unsplash.com\/photos\/1r0TPtmhEZA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Milad Fakurian\/Unsplash<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI can\u2019t find help anywhere and going to prison is the best idea I had, but I don\u2019t want to commit any crime,\u201d M\u00e1rquez told Spanish news agency <a href=\"https:\/\/www.elespanol.com\/malaga\/20230905\/justo-marquez-enfermo-cancer-pide-entrar-carcel-alhaurin-tener-compania\/791921057_0.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">EFE<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Granada-born father of five children, whom he has not seen or spoken to in months, spent a couple of years in prison for drug possession, but claims he has been clean for three decades. Still, prison was the only familiar option to combat his loneliness, so he continues to beg to be let in.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0<iframe loading=\"lazy\" style=\"border: none; overflow: hidden;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/post.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Ftelemetro%2Fposts%2Fpfbid096GozVrGhSvdRgLP86jEYyZaKyTHVV68VzXEStBdZH7gPB39nFRF53muS8TzmTjXl&amp;width=750&amp;show_text=false&amp;appId=279842835470946&amp;height=498\" width=\"750\" height=\"498\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Justo M\u00e1rquez has been referred to mental health services several times in the past, but they have been of no help, so he finally decided to take desperate measures. Despite being denied entry by the Alhaur\u00edn de la Torre Prison warden, the 60-year-old plans to protest outside the gates until he is allowed inside. He is hopeful that his situation will eventually be resolved.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey have to find a solution.
