Abdourahamane Tchiani, was hellbent on his three-year transition plan before returning the country to civil rule.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(48, 48, 48);\">Source: Vanguard News<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Fielding questions on Channels Television\u2019s breakfast program, Sunrise Daily, ECOWAS Commissioner for Political Affairs, Peace, and Security, Ambassador Abdel-Fatau Musah, also dismissed insinuations that ECOWAS was acting under the influence of a foreign power. He explained that the community\u2019s chances of using military force to restore constitutional order in Niger were very likely.<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/d0a02fddc4ab48d7bc6f920d9a0dc5fc\"\/><\/p>\n<p>He said: \u201cRight from the 1960s, I have never seen a coup that has not enjoyed continuous support from the people. \u201cThe support can be engineered; you can rent crowds; that does not imply that people are unconcerned about their future. \u201dThe high level of youth unemployment is a factor; mismanagement of our resources is a factor, but is the military a better sort of governance of our economy? Empirical data in our region never demonstrate that. So is that the right way to go about trying to change the system?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wike Will Restore Abuja Masterplan \u2014 Okocha<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A former national chairman of the Protocols\/Logistics Committee of the defunct Tinubu-Shettima Grassroots Independent Campaign Council (TSGICC), Chief Tony Okocha, has expressed the hope that the new Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Chief Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, will restore the Abuja Masterplan.<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/ac3d91a1b16446639a9671db680642f9\"\/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Source: Leadership News<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>He said the nation\u2019s capital was drifting into a slum due to the activities of developers who acquire and develop every available space, thereby blocking waterways and exposing the territory to incessant flooding. Okocha spoke on Monday in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, on the sidelines of an event organized by stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to celebrate the inauguration of Wike as a Minister.<\/p>\n<p>The APC chieftain said: \u201cI live in Abuja or I am a regular visitor in Abuja. I know that the Abuja status that we used to know, the beauty, with which it was initially designed is beginning to drift. It is drifting into slums. \u201cAs some of you know, recently, Abuja was flooded and that is not just part of the Abuja framework.
