Riyaad Norodien, a former winger for Orlando Pirates, finds himself on a quest for a new professional soccer club. His departure from Rwandan side Kiyovu Sports was driven by financial difficulties within the club. It became evident that Kiyovu Sports was unable to sustain the financial obligations required to pay both Norodien and other players for another season. This unfortunate situation compelled Norodien to sever ties with the club.

Notably, Norodien highlighted that his decision to leave was prompted by the club’s failure to compensate him for the months of May and June of the current year. Having previously plied his trade with DC Motema Pembe in the DR Congo, Norodien’s journey has taken him to various corners of African football.

After his departure from Kiyovu Sports, Norodien returned to his home country, South Africa. Eager to continue his professional career, he has made it clear that he is open to offers and is actively looking to secure a spot within the South African Premier Soccer League (PSL). This includes potential opportunities in either the DStv Premiership or the Motsepe Foundation Championship.

Riyaad Norodien’s career trajectory has seen him evolve from his time with prominent South African clubs such as Orlando Pirates and Cape Town City FC. Prior to venturing abroad, he showcased his skills and contributed to these teams’ campaigns in the PSL.

In his most recent stint with Kiyovu Sports, Norodien’s performance was noteworthy. Across 25 appearances during the previous season, he managed to find the back of the net on six occasions and provided an impressive 11 assists. These statistics underscore his capabilities as a valuable asset on the field, potentially making him an attractive prospect for clubs seeking an attacking and creative presence.

As Norodien embarks on this new chapter in his football journey, his experience, skill set, and track record within the PSL and beyond will likely make him a player of interest for clubs looking to strengthen their squads. His desire to return to the South African football scene and contribute to a new team’s success reflects his commitment to the sport and his ambition to continue making an impact on the field.
