This was announced by the NCC in its recently released \u20182022 Subscriber\/Network Data Annual Report.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>According to the commission, the overall number of active subscribers climbed from 195,463,898 subscriptions in 2021 to 222,571,568 active voice subscriptions in December 2022, representing a 13.86% year-on-year growth.<\/p>\n<p>It commented on the growth, saying, \u201cThe increase in the Operators\u2019 subscriber base was attributed to a number of reasons,  subscriber loyalty, promotions, seasonal effects, aggressive consumer acquisition drive, and competitive product offerings across all networks.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It was found that the increase in active subscribers has a beneficial influence on other derived telecom metrics such as teledensity, Internet penetration, and broadband penetration.<\/p>\n<p>In 2022, data use is expected to continue to rise. It climbed by 46.77 percent to 518,381.78TB by the end of the year.<\/p>\n<p>According to the NCC, \u201cthere was an increase in the volume of data consumed at the year-end December 2022 when compared to the year-end December 2021.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe total volume of data consumed by subscribers increased to 518,381.78TB in December 2022 from 353,118.89TB in December 2021.\u201d This indicates a 46.77 percent increase in data usage during the time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Content created and supplied by: Johnupdates (via  Opera<br \/>News )<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>\n<span class=\"content\">    ,  .   ,     .
