Basically, it consists of a snowmobile-like body and a set of 18 small wheels each with its own individual suspension system. One of the core ideas of the project was to make this unusual-looking vehicle soil friendly, so the wheels are specifically small so that they don\u2019t damage the soil by leaving huge tire marks on it. The unique suspension system provides a special trajectory of movement and a much smoother ride over all types of rough terrain, which can\u2019t really be said about traditional ATVs.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Photo: 18Wheels Inc.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur all-terrain vehicle is able to overcome large obstacles at high speed. I mean rocks up to 35 centimeters (14 inches) high, fallen trees, kerbs and even stairs,\u201d <a href=\"http:\/\/18wheels.fi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">18Wheels<\/a> founder Eldar Aliev said. \u201cOur all-terrain vehicle can drive over stairs. I dare say no other vehicle on this planet can do that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-79217 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/gp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/18-wheels-atv2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"750\" height=\"422\"\/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Photo: 18Wheels Inc.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The Finnish company showcased a prototype of its unique 18-wheel ATV last year, but the video only went viral this week. In it, we can see the bizarre vehicle gliding over a variety of surfaces, from soil to rocks, and bypassing several obstacles. Although the prototype doesn\u2019t have the most refined design, Aliev claims that 18Wheels has been working on a commercially-viable version that will be unveiled in October of this year.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<div class=\"youtube-embed\" data-video_id=\"H0Mm9vByupQ\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Presentation 18 WHEELS first prototype\" width=\"696\" height=\"392\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/H0Mm9vByupQ?feature=oembed&#038;enablejsapi=1\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" style=\"display: inline-block; width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height: 0;\" class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Apart from being more gentle on the soil it is driven on, the 18-wheel <a href=\"https:\/\/www.odditycentral.com\/auto\/the-dtv-shredder-a-new-breed-of-extreme-all-terrain-vehicles.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">all-terrain vehicle<\/a> will apparently also be extremely comfortable to pilot. Because the size of the wheels is greatly reduced compared to conventional ATVs, the less energy it will receive when it hits an obstacle, so the less of an impact will be felt by the driver.
