Manchester City striker Erling Haaland says he \u201cwill do everything\u201d to help the club to a historic Treble.<\/p>\n
City have won this season\u2019s Premier League and can add to that if they beat Manchester United in the FA Cup final on Saturday and Inter Milan in the Champions League final on 10 June.<\/p>\n
United won each of those trophies in 1999 and are the only English club to have done such a Treble.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
\u201cIt would be unreal to make this history,\u201d said 22-year-old Haaland.<\/p>\n
Despite City\u2019s domestic dominance, they are yet to win the Champions League and Haaland hopes he can be the missing piece to secure success in European football\u2019s biggest tournament.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is why they bought me of course, to get this, we don\u2019t have to hide that,\u201d Haaland told BBC sports editor Dan Roan.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt would mean everything. I will do everything I possibly can to try to make it happen. It\u2019s my biggest dream and hopefully, dreams do come true.\u201d<\/p>\n
He added: \u201cBut as well it\u2019s not easy \u2013 it\u2019s two finals against two good teams that will do everything they can to try to destroy that.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey will be motivated, they will be ready and we have to play at our best, because if we play at our best we have a really good chance of achieving exactly that.\u201d<\/p>\n
City overtook Arsenal this season to win a third Premier League title in a row under manager Pep Guardiola.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ve been chasing the whole season so when we won the Premier League it was a big relief,\u201d said Haaland, who scored 36 top-flight goals this season.<\/p>\n
\u201cNow we\u2019ve got two finals left and now the only thing we can focus on is these two finals before the vacation.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u2018I\u2019m 196cm tall and have got long blonde hair \u2013 people are going to see me\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n Haaland has had a stunning first season in English football since joining City from Borussia Dortmund last summer.<\/p>\n He has broken the Premier League record for most goals in a season with his tally and, overall, has scored 52 goals during the campaign.<\/p>\n The Norway international has been named the Football Writers\u2019 Association (FWA) men\u2019s footballer of the year and is the first player to win the Premier League player and young player of the year awards in the same season.<\/p>\n Haaland\u2019s exploits have made him one of the most recognisable players in the game and he says his way of dealing with the fame is to embrace it.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s nice, it means I\u2019ve done something right,\u201d said Haaland.<\/p>\n \u201cMy life has changed of course, I can\u2019t live so normally any more. That\u2019s how my life is, I can\u2019t complain.<\/p>\n \u201cI try to enjoy every single moment of it and that\u2019s how it is.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m 196cm tall and have got long blonde hair so wherever I go people are going to see me. So that\u2019s how my life is. What can I do?<\/p>\n \u201cThere\u2019s nothing I can do, that\u2019s my life. I just have to try to enjoy it as much as I can. Try to relax when I\u2019m home with good people around me, that\u2019s really important. Just try to enjoy my life.\u201d<\/p>\n Haaland believes he has improved \u201ca lot\u201d this season but that he can get better \u201cfrom my right foot to my left foot to my heading, from the build-up play \u2013 everything\u201d.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve been developing in a really positive way and that\u2019s really important for me because I\u2019m still really young,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m 22, I\u2019ve got a long career ahead of me and I still have to develop. That\u2019s also something I was thinking of over one year ago when I was thinking about my next move.\u201d<\/p>\n Haaland knows Manchester United will be \u201cmotivated\u201d as they will not only want to beat their local rivals to add to their Carabao Cup success this season, but also stop City from matching their Treble.<\/p>\n \u201cIt will not be an easy game,\u201d said Haaland. \u201cWe have to play our game. We have to not think too much, we have to focus on ourselves and we have to play the game we should play.<\/p>\n \u201cIn the end we\u2019ll see. It\u2019s a 90-minute football game and the ones who do it best in these games can win.\u201d<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
