{"id":69176,"date":"2023-05-21T20:39:02","date_gmt":"2023-05-21T20:39:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2023\/05\/21\/good-news-for-yesu-tongaren-as-area-mp-pledges-to-do-this-for-him\/"},"modified":"2023-05-21T20:39:02","modified_gmt":"2023-05-21T20:39:02","slug":"good-news-for-yesu-tongaren-as-area-mp-pledges-to-do-this-for-him","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2023\/05\/21\/good-news-for-yesu-tongaren-as-area-mp-pledges-to-do-this-for-him\/","title":{"rendered":"Good News For Yesu Tongaren as Area MP Pledges to Do This For Him"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div id=\"\">\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(34, 34, 34);\">The controversial preacher from Bungoma County Eliud Wekesa alias Yesu wa Tongaren has a reason to be happy after an area MP pledged to upgrade a road leading to his home.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Tongaren MP John Chikati has said he will open up the road leading to the home of Eliud Wekesa in anticipation of many visitors who will be thronging his Lukhokwe area seeking prayers.<\/p>\n<p>According to Monday\u2019s People Daily newspaper, the MP opined that Yesu wa Tongaren needs a good road for people to access his home for prayers.<\/p>\n<p>The lawmaker noted that Yesu Wa Tongareni is now a famous preacher in Kenya and beyond the borders, a clear indication that many people will be flowing to his home to seek his teachings and prayers, thus need for him as the area MP to upgrade the road leading to the preacher\u2019s home<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/ke\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/6b6660a852d541248340ad281c26c9fc\"\/><\/p>\n<p>\u201cYesu wa Tongaren is now known all over the world and we expect many visitors coming to see him so we will be grading the road to his home,\u201d said Chikati as reported by People Daily<\/p>\n<p>Last week, Yesu wa Tongaren found himself in police custody after an officer nabbed him over his teachings<\/p>\n<p>He was accused of spreading false teachings but when he was presented before the court, he was set free for lack of evidence.<\/p>\n<p>Chikati who was also not impressed with his arrest to the media that the officer did not know what they were doing when they locked up the preacher, adding that his teachings were biblical<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/ke\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/441a7fd70e5143ea8fe5fd2eea9bb9aa\"\/><\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs an MP I will assist him in all ways because his teachings are not against the law,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>However, the county boss, Ken Lusaka was of a different opinion from Chikati.
