Minister\u2019s directive on 30th November 2022,\u201d a letter to the Chief Executive Officers of the telecommunication networks in Ghana said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPlease indicate in writing to the NCA, by Tuesday, 18th April 2023, the total number of SIMs disconnected as per directive 1 above,\u201d the letter written by the Acting Deputy Director General of NCA, Prof Ezer Osei Yeboah-Boateng, said.<\/p>\n<p>According to the NCA, SIMs registered beyond the limit of 10 for a subscriber \u201cshould be delinked, deactivcated and removed from your SIM Registration databases and same should reflect in the Central SIM Register by Monday, 17th April 2023\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The Authority has warned the telcos that failure to comply with the directives shall be in violation of the Subscriber Identity Module Registration Regulations, 2011.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"twitter-follow-button\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/kwame_amoh?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" data-show-count=\"false\">Follow @kwame_amoh<\/a><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>file The National Communications Authority (NCA) has written to the telecommunication networks, requesting in writing the total number of Subscriber Identity Modules (SIMs) disconnected for non-compliance to government\u2019s directive.
