We feel very strongly that government should consider reviewing its own expenditure.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote data-service=\"twitter\" data-category=\"marketing\" data-placeholder-image=\"https:\/\/3news.com\/wp-content\/plugins\/complianz-gdpr\/assets\/images\/placeholders\/twitter-minimal.jpg\" class=\"cmplz-placeholder-element twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">There are many businesses that are not paying taxes and so continuously taxing the few AGI companies that are tax complainant is not fair. We keep talking about the same issue on property tax, I know people who really have to go to the Municipal offices to ask for their property tax because nobody is coming to them.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cECG has just started calling people to pay for their electricity bills, we propose that GRA should also go round to collect property tax so they can mobilise revenue.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He also revealed that there are some businesses that are not paying taxes.<\/p>\n<p>Those businesses should be identified and dealt with instead of targeting AGI members that are tax compliant, he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cVery similar point to this is that there are many many businesses that are not paying taxes and so continuing to tax the few AGI companies that are tax compliant is not fair.
