Support programme.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Parliament by 137-136 majority decision passed the three revenue bills on Friday, March 31.<\/p>\n<p>The bills are the Income Tax Amendment Bill, Excise Duty Amendment Bill, and Growth and Sustainability Amendment Bill.<\/p>\n<div>\n<div class=\"postImageUrl\">\n<p>The government is seeking to generate approximately GH\u00a24 billion per year to supplement domestic revenue.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta\u00a0earlier appealed to Parliament to pass the three bills to\u00a0help in facilitating the deal that Ghana is seeking under the\u00a0International Monetary Fund\u00a0(IMF).<\/p>\n<p>Speaking at a forum in Accra on Thursday, March 30, he said \u201cOur Parliament, in the national interest, will pass these bills before the close of the week and it will not be seen as disloyalty to anyone party.
