Although Marcus Rashford, who has seven goals since playing club football again, might start against the champions, ten Hag is hoping Weghorst can provide another alternative soon because a trip to Crystal Palace is coming up on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
He will hopefully be there soon for us, ten Hag continued.<\/p>\n
The Netherlands international is about to join United as the club\u2019s second acquisition of the January transfer window after Jack Butland, filling the team\u2019s striker gap temporarily.<\/p>\n
The 30-year-old signed with Burnley in January of last year, but he only scored twice in 20 appearances as the Clarets were demoted to the Championship at the conclusion of the previous campaign.<\/p>\n
Since then, he has found his scoring touch at Beskitas, netting nine goals in 19 games after United reached an agreement with the Turkish team as compensation to bring him to Old Trafford.<\/p>\n
After spending over \u00a3200 million during the summer transfer window, United has been confined to recruiting players on loan this month.<\/p>\n
Joao Felix, a Portugal international who just joined Chelsea, was also a target for the club, but it turned down its interest after failing to agree to Atletico Madrid\u2019s demands for a \u00a39 million loan fee.<\/p>\n
