The EFCC in an invitation letter served on Akpabio asked him to appear at its office on the 29th day of March 2023. However, Akpabio failed to show up and wrote to EFCC via his lawyer Umel Kalu, SAN.<\/p>\n<p>The letter from Akpabio\u2019s lawyer said: \u201cWe write to convey our client\u2019s inability to honor the scheduled visit to your office on the 29th day of March 2022, due to ill health and already arranged medical appointment overseas. \u201cAs mentioned in our last letter to you dated February 10, 2023, our client is undergoing treatment for pneumonia and cardiac arrhythmia, and, has recently been advised to seek further attention abroad.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tinubu needs more prayers from Nigerians \u2013 Gov. Masari<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(33, 37, 41);\">Gov. Aminu Masari of Katsina State said President-elect, Bola Tinubu, needs more prayers from Nigerians to enable his administration to succeed.<\/span><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/a16ff474abf047be913e7a7516545a4e\"\/><\/p>\n<p><strong style=\"color: rgb(33, 37, 41);\">Source: P.M News<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Masari disclosed this during a special breaking of fast and prayer session organized on Wednesday at the Government House, Katsina. According to the governor, the President-elect used to organize such prayer sessions every year during Ramadan. <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/fad093d99e9147cba4524fb3ffd5d9b4\"\/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.87);\">\u201cThis year\u2019s session is specially organized to thank the Almighty God for our success during the recent general elections in the country.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ngige wants the Tinubu govt to review the minimum wage<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige, has said that the incoming administration of the President-elect, Bola Tinubu, should review the current minimum wage of N30,000 currently obtainable in Nigeria.<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/da8c0adba8c0468fb16e689b14f6e2f0\"\/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Source: Punch Newspapers<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ngige, who was a member of the committee that negotiated the present minimum wage in 2019 from N18,000 to N30,000, noted that the country\u2019s minimum wage should be reviewed every five years to fit the current standard of living. The minister, who spoke on Channels Television\u2019s Politics Today on Wednesday, further mentioned that he would include in his handover notes that the discussion surrounding minimum wage should start immediately after the new government is sworn-in in May 2023, ahead of its implementation, which he said should be in May 2024.<\/p>\n<p>He said the discussions would involve the public sector, private sector, and state governments, and according to the last bill passed should start a year before it officially takes effect. <span style=\"color: rgb(51, 51, 51);\">\u201cSo, I\u2019m envisaging that as of May 2023, the government will impanel the new minimum wage review committee for the nation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Govs-elect, others get Certificates of Return<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"ql-align-justify\">Governors-elect of Rivers State, Siminialayi Fubara; Delta State, Mr. Sheriff Oborevwori; and Taraba State, Lt. Col.
