The Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance boss Raila Odinga has said that the coalition visit to Northlands Farm, property owned by the former first family, the Kenyatta Family, is not because it is linked to the Former President Uhuru Kenyatta, but because it caught their attention over what transpired yesterday.<\/p>\n
Speaking to the press from the farm, Raila said that he had not spoken to Uhuru before going there, but noted that the former Head of State was not in Nairobi.<\/p>\n
He went on to defend police officers who were no show yesterday when hundreds of goons invaded the farm, cut down trees and went with tens of livestock, saying they were acting under orders and they were not sent to protect the property.<\/p>\n
The Former Prime Minister claimed that the deputy president Rigathi Gachagua and other senior government officials are to blame for what happened at Northlands Farm and his own gas plant in Industrial area.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have not spoken to Uhuru Kenyatta, and we are not here because of him. We are here because we heard that the farm was invaded yesterday by more than 500 people, and we also saw on TVs fire burning down trees and we decided to come. Uhuru is not in Nairobi but we have said sorry to him and his family for the loss of property.\u201d<\/p>\n
