This is the man who sued his overlord, the Okyenhene and allegedly called the president of the National House of Chiefs to insult him when he lost his case, why would we take such a person seriously,\u201d<\/strong><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\"> allies of Oheneba, who were angry at\u00a0 about Kwame Apau\u2019s disparaging allegations intoned.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">Tempers are flaring in Kade with many of the youth seething with anger over why a decent man they look up to would be described as a galanseyer because someone wants to get at him.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong style=\"background-color: transparent;\">\u201cOheneba Cudjoe Obeng is not into Galamsey. I doubt whether he has ever seen a galamsey site, until recently, when some people dressed in military uniform stormed a site and he, being a good citizen went to the scene to stop them from syphoning fuel. He is a descent man. The most incredible one is the Police Commander Kwame Apau cast a slur at. The former chief needs to be careful about his , it is becoming unbecoming of the former chief of Kade,\u201d<\/strong><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\"> five elders with knowledge of the issues but want to remain anonymous because of Kwame Apau\u2019s quick temper told this paper yesterday.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">Recall that by a ruling of Thursday, December 5, 2013, Osabarima\u00a0Agyare Tenadu II, the beleaguered Chief of Kade was ousted and a new chief installed, with immediate effect.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">Obaapanyin Akua Fosua, Abusuapanyin Otibu Asare, Nana Banchie Darko Ampem, Krontihene, Asafoatse Kofi Tinyase and Asafoatse Yaw Danso, on 9th October 2012, called on the council to address the violation of the traditional oath and failure by the chief to uphold all norms required of him as chief of the town.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">They alleged that the chief, who was a defendant in the matter, had violated the code of ethics governing the chieftaincy institution and that, the refusal of the kingmakers from taking the necessary action, allowed any principal to institute that action.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">To support their stand, they referred to the ruling by the Judicial Committee of the Akyem Abuakwa council on the 1st of May, 2001 in the matter of Nana Kwame Fanti Aduamoah II, Asonafohene of Kade (plaintiff) vs. Nana Agyakoran Adutwum II Kadehene (Defendant) which plaintiff tendered as exhibit \u201cA\u201d attached to their Affidavit in support.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">According to them, <\/span><strong style=\"background-color: transparent;\">\u201cthe Ghana law report of 1977 page 348 paragraph 3 supports the contention that even the Krontihene alone who is a kingmaker can bring up an action.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">The defendant (Osabarima Agyare Tenadu II) pleaded not guilty of all the charges against him. He stated that all the charges levelled against him by the plaintiffs were unfounded.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">The Chairman of the Judicial Committee of\u00a0the Akyem Abuakwa Traditional Council, Osabarima Kwame Koh II, giving his ruling at a sitting at Ofori Panyin Fie in Kibi, noted the\u00a0judicial committee found the\u00a0Chief guilty of 14; out of the 17 charges leveled against him.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">Also, the committee ruled that the exhibit by the defendant (Osabarima\u00a0Agyare Tenadu II) did not relate to the matter before the judicial committee and ordered for a custom to be performed to destool the defendant and a replacement made by the kingmakers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">The council also ordered Osabarima\u00a0Agyare Tenadu II, to hand over all the stool paraphernalia to the Abusuapanyin for safe keeping until a new Chief was enstooled.
