The organizers of the Vodafone Ghana Award and Charterhouse have released nominees for the 24th VGMA edition awards again without the name of Shatta Wale.

Recall that Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy were banned from VGMA after their clash on stage in 2019. However, the ban was lifted after the two settled their differences.

After the settlement, Stonebwoy showed interest in the award scheme but Shatta Wale on other hand stated on his Facebook page that he wasn’t interested in VGMA. His then-manager, Bulldog also asked the organizers of VGMA to apologize to Shatta Wale before he can be part of the scheme again.

“Upon sober reflections on events in recent times and made broader consultations, I wish to announce that I will not be part of the Ghana Awards scheme going forward. God bless!” Shatta declared in his Facebook post when he officially parted ways with the VGMAs.

“Shatta Wale will not attend the VGMA until VGMA come to apologize to him. They have consistently disrespected Shatta. If he decides to join the scheme again, I will concentrate on farming that will mean my journey with him will come to an end”, Bulldog, then the manager of Shatta Wale also said.

He added; “He has been always overlooking the disrespect to support the culture but it won’t happen again until they apologize. They kept us in jail for a day for doing nothing, it’s sad and disrespectful,”.
