Oscar nominee Tems has been slammed on social media after her elaborate outfit blocked the view of fellow attendees at Sunday night\u2019s\u00a0Academy Awards.<\/p>\n

The songstress \u2014 who is nominated for Best Original Song for the\u00a0\u201cBlack Panther: Wakanda Forever\u201d\u00a0track \u201cLift Me Up\u201d \u2014 wore a puffy white gown that wrapped around the back of her head.<\/p>\n

And while she stunned on the red carpet, the incredible outfit was probably less loved by those sitting inside the Dolby Theater.<\/p>\n

Photos of the \u201cCrazy Tings\u201d hitmaker standing out in the crowd quickly went viral on Twitter, clocking up hundreds of thousands of views.<\/p>\n

\u201cImagine waiting your whole life to be at the Oscars and you end up sitting behind a stratus cloud,\u201d\u00a0one sniped<\/a>, comparing the garment to a mass of condensed water vapor.<\/p>\n

The critic accompanied their snarky tweet with a screenshot that showed a guest craning his neck around Tems\u2019 puffy garment in order to see the stage.<\/p>\n

Others also accused the star of being \u201crude\u201d by blocking the view of other attendees.<\/p>\n

\u201cI guess the people behind the white veil don\u2019t get to see the show,\u201d\u00a0one declared.<\/p>\n

\u201cWho has to sit behind that woman with the white veil,\u201d\u00a0another asked.<\/a>\u00a0\u201cRude.\u201d<\/p>\n

Several dragged the designer of the dress, with a detractor\u00a0declaring<\/a>: \u201cShe looks stunning but perhaps they could have made the top bit detachable.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHer designers should have thought this through,\u201d\u00a0another agreed.<\/a><\/p>\n

However, many defended Tems\u2019 eye-catching ensemble, saying they were fans of the fashion-forward frock.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you\u2019re sitting BEHIND greatness that is known as Tems, then perhaps you\u2019re just not that important,\u201d one\u00a0stated.<\/a><\/p>\n

A second supporter said those sitting behind the beauty wouldn\u2019t be missing much at all.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would think the Oscars would have large screens to view the stage from,\u201d\u00a0they declared.<\/a><\/p>\n
