The Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB) has stated that it has reduced the number of computer-based test (CBT) centres nationwide over poor facilities, non-compliance with guidelines, involvement in examination malpractice and others.<\/p>\n
The board is to commence registration for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) on the 14th of January, 2022.<\/p>\n
Professor Ishaq Oloyede, the Registrar of the board, noted this this yesterday in Lagos when he met the commissioners for education from across the country.<\/p>\n
The meeting was to make the commissioners aware on the activities of the board and the preparations for the coming examination.<\/p>\n
The number of CBT cenres in Ogun State was reduced from 43 to 21, Abia is from 21 to 14, 17 to 16 in Kogi.<\/p>\n
JAMB might consider involving the Ministry of Education in all states in assessing and registering of CBT centres.<\/p>\n
The board is taking steps to track O\u2019Level results of candidates from its own end. This will help reduce the situations of posting fake results to get admission.<\/p>\n
The Commissioners for Education commended the board for such an approach to curb examination malpractice and also ensure a hitch-free exercise in preparation for the UTME.<\/p>\n
