{"id":26226,"date":"2023-03-09T17:42:14","date_gmt":"2023-03-09T17:42:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2023\/03\/09\/patronise-made-in-ghana-products-gta-boss\/"},"modified":"2023-03-09T17:42:14","modified_gmt":"2023-03-09T17:42:14","slug":"patronise-made-in-ghana-products-gta-boss","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2023\/03\/09\/patronise-made-in-ghana-products-gta-boss\/","title":{"rendered":"Patronise Made-In- Ghana Products &#8211; GTA Boss"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Mr. Akwasi Agyeman<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA),\u00a0Mr. Akwasi Agyeman, has urged Ghanaians to patronise made-in-Ghana goods and services to create jobs and generate\u00a0revenue for the country.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, Ghanaians had a role to play in ensuring that our culture and heritage as people was\u00a0preserved, protected and promoted at all times.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking on his behalf at the Culture and Heritage Day celebration dubbed \u201cOur Culture, Our\u00a0Pride,\u201d at British International School (BIS), Mr. Atta Kakra Kusi, Deputy Head of Corporate Affairs,\u00a0GTA, said, Ghana\u2019s culture was \u00a0embedded in our clothes, food, music and dance, and festis,\u00a0among others.<\/p>\n<p>He urged the media to use their platforms to promote the country\u2019s cultural ues, heritage and\u00a0aspirations.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Kusi said Ghana\u2019s cultural policy was currently under review to help develop programmes and contribute to human development to make use of traditional modern arts and craft, to create\u00a0wealth and alleviate poverty.<\/p>\n<p>He urged the management of the school to make use of libraries and archives for the students\u00a0body to promote Ghana\u2019s culture and heritage, adding that education was important for this\u00a0endeavour.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Michael Mensah, Principal, BIS, advised parents to interact and train their wards with their\u00a0mother-tongue language, saying that our local dialects were the cultural ues of our various\u00a0homes, family and communities.<\/p>\n<p>Ms. Sharon Dede Padi, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Padiki Art Gallery, appealed to all parents\u00a0to impact the knowledge of our forefathers to the new generation.\u00a0\u00a0 She said this would help them to know their culture heritage and identity, adding that it would\u00a0be the best way of accepting and patronising locally-made products.<\/p>\n<p>Ms. Asantewaa Osei Bonsu, Student, BIS, said: \u201cA nation without culture is like a tree without its\u00a0root, if we do not know where we hail from, how can we find our way back to our motherland.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0 She urged her colleagues to learn and know about Ghana\u2019s culture, particularly the local\u00a0languages.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>GNA<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- AI CONTENT END 2 -->\n\t<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mr. Akwasi Agyeman \u00a0 Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA),\u00a0Mr. Akwasi Agyeman, has urged Ghanaians to patronise made-in-Ghana goods and services to create jobs and generate\u00a0revenue for the country.
