But did you know that there are actually some major mistakes that you can make when you are charging your phone, which could potentially cause it to become damaged?<\/p>\n<p>When charging your phone, here are some common mistakes that you should try to avoid making.<\/p>\n<p>Put the battery through a full charge. One more charging error that we make without even realizing it is to completely deplete the battery and then charge it to its maximum capacity. When the charge is between 30 and 80 percent, lion batteries perform at their peak level. If you charge it all the way up to its maximum capacity, the battery will be overloaded by the high voltage of the electric current, which will cause it to overheat and gradually shorten its lifespan.<\/p>\n<p>Frequently performing rapid charging<\/p>\n<p>Powerbanks typically come equipped with a feature known as \u201cquick-charge,\u201d which allows the device to supply an increased amount of electrical power to your phone in order to accelerate the charging process. Although it might appear to be practical at first, doing so is not a good idea in the long run. The power surge that results from rapid charging puts strain on the battery. If you continue charging in this mode, you will gradually deplete the capacity of your battery.<\/p>\n<p>Incorrectly charging your phone in certain locations<\/p>\n<p>If you don\u2019t pay attention to where you charge your phone, you could end up with a battery that has less capacity than it otherwise would have. Charging your phone in a warm environment can cause the temperature to rise, which can put additional strain on the battery. Phones have a temperature range in which they can function normally.<\/p>\n<p>You never unplug your charger.<\/p>\n<p>Even when the device being charged isn\u2019t connected, a charger will continue to consume power. Because of this, you can expect an increase in the cost of your electric bills.
