Ghana\u2019s most authoritative entertainment talk show, \u2018 A-Z\u2019, girds up for an insightful edition live from Afadjato, one of the iconic tourist sites in the Volta Region.<\/p>\n
The programme which airs on Joy 99.7FM on Saturdays from 2pm to 6pm, will on March 11, 2023, explore the tourism potentials of the Volta Region as well as assess the fortunes Afadjato has brought to the region.\u00a0<\/p>\n
This is part of Joy FM\u2019s Ghana Month activities to promote Ghana\u2019s culture and heritage in March, the month of Ghana\u2019s independence.\u00a0<\/p>\n
After a successful edition of the outdoor programme in Cape Coast in 2021, there was a encore in Kumasi where the team discovered Asanteman\u2019s rich tourist centres and culture.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Mount Afadja, known as Afadjato to the Ewe people of Ghana and Togo, is one of the highest mountains in Ghana. It is in the Afadjato South District and Hohoe Municipality.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The Lead Producer for \u2018 A-Z\u2019 and Head of Production for Joy Entertainment, Philip Nai, said this year\u2019s edition promises to be more exciting and educative as his team seeks to bring to bear the show\u2019s progressive discussions on the tourist site.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The Afadjato edition of \u2018 A-Z\u2019 will also look at the state of the creative industry in the Volta Region.<\/p>\n
The programme will host Togbega Hometepkor V, the Paramount Chief of the Gbledi Traditional Area; Togbe Adabra IV, Mankrado of Gbledi-Gbogame and the Divisional Chief of Gbledi Tongor \/ actor; Alexander Kwame Nketia, Volta Regional Director of Ghana Tourism Authority, and Chief Moomen, poet, playwright and creative entrepreneur.\u00a0<\/p>\n
There will also be a food bazaar and a mini durbar to showcase different types of food in the Volta Region. Other activities to feature at the event are drumming, dancing and pouring of libation.<\/p>\n
The show will broadcast live on Joy 99.7 FM from the foot of Mount Afadja.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Hosted by Kwame Dadzie, \u2018 A-Z\u2019 will also be live on Joy FM\u2019s Facebook page.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The show is powered by Joy Entertainment, supported by Adansi Travels.\u00a0<\/p>\n
