Popular Ghanaian rapper Michael Owusu Addo, popularly known as Sarkodie, has officially hit one million streams on Spotify with his hit song \u2018Country Side\u2019 featuring Black Sherif.<\/p>\n

\u2018Country Side\u2019 was one of the tracks on the rapper\u2019s eighth studio album titled \u2018Jamz\u2019.<\/p>\n

Just hours after the release of \u2018Jamz\u2019 in November 2022, Sarkodie joined the Golden Club on Africa\u2019s largest streaming and download platform, Boomplay.<\/p>\n

This was made possible by Sarkodie amassing a total of 100m streams from his catalogue on the popular streaming platform.<\/p>\n

By achieving this feat, Sarkodie becomes the second Ghanaian artiste to join Boomplay\u2019s Golden Club after Black Sherif.<\/p>\n

\u2018Jamz\u2019 album consists of 10-tracks with nine featured artistes namely; Oxlade, King Promise, Cina Soul, Joeboy, BNXN, Kranium, Lojay, Ink Boy, and Black Sherif.<\/p>\n

Sarkodie\u2019s contributions to the Ghanaian music industry have earned him numerous\u00a0accolades, including the\u00a0Vodafone Ghana Award (VGMA)\u00a0for \u2018Artiste of the Decade\u2019.<\/p>\n

He was announced the first winner of BET\u2019s \u2018Best International Flow Act\u2019 at the 2019\u00a0BET Hip Hop Awards.<\/p>\n

In 2015, AfricaRanking.com<\/em><\/strong> ranked Sarkodie third on its list of the \u2018Top 10 African Rappers of 2015.\u2019<\/p>\n

In the same year, The Guardian<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0listed him as one of its top five hip hop acts on the African continent.<\/p>\n

He was ranked eighth on Forbes <\/em><\/strong>and Channel O<\/em><\/strong>\u2018s<\/em> 2013 and 2015 list of the \u2018Top 10 Richest\/Bankable African Artistes.\u2019<\/p>\n

In 2020, he won the \u2018Artiste of the Year\u2019 during the Ghana Awards USA (GMA USA).<\/p>\n
