Well-known producer Tapps Bandawe has finally swallowed a humble pie and apologized to Malawians over a song done by renowned afro-pop artist Dan Lu aka Dan Lufani song titled \u2018Take my Body.\u2019<\/p>\n
The song, which has strong sexual language, especially in the vernacular, has stirred debate in many social media circles as some feel the song is too vulgar for the local audience.<\/p>\n
\u2018Part of Life\u2019 hit-maker start the song by admitting in vernacular that he is horny (Ndilindinyere\u2026!).<\/p>\n
Writing on his official facebook after the controversy the song has caused Bandawe has apologized to Malawians over the song.<\/p>\n
\u201cI would like to take this time to address my position on the clip that has been trending of the song I produced for musician Dan Lu. The song has brought about a lot of conversation and controversy. Being a seasoned producer and veteran in the music business having produced music that has entertained and uplifted many throughout the years, I would like to stress that in hindsight I should have known better. The song was not in any way made to offend or to trend negatively, it was made with the intent to entertain but clearly it has offended some.<\/p>\n
\u201cI would like to apologize unreservedly to those it has offended. I have no excuses and should have known better. I will dedicate myself to doing what I do best, producing music that serves the for the betterment of humanity and Malawian morals as is indeed my role as a senior statesman in this music industry,\u201d wrote Bandawe.<\/p>\n
He added: Dan Lu is a brother and a wonderfully talented artist who has entertained Malawi with countless uplifting songs such as the iconic anthem Part of Life. As a musician he is there to express his thoughts into music, as a producer I am there to guide and I must stress in this instance I erred in my duties.\u201d<\/p>\n
