As she girds up for the 10th of her Celestial Praiz concert, Celestine Donkor has acknowledged the challenges she went through to organise the programme during its developing stage.\u00a0<\/p>\n

On Joy FM\u2019s Drive Time with Lexis Bill, the \u2018Agbeboloo\u2019 singer said she started Celestial Praiz when she had no hit songs.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWe never see how the vision will go. But for me I only trust and obey and I move and God has been faithful for me.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cIt looked so impossible. When we had the idea, that was my fear. I didn\u2019t have any hit songs.<\/p>\n

\u201cBecause for an artiste, if you are staging a concert, you would want to sing songs that the people will be able to sing along with you and enjoy the moment together.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe only I had at the time was \u2018Supernatural\u2019 and it wasn\u2019t even that out there so it was a fear,\u201d she said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

She said she was worried that she could not get a big song that would shoot her into the public space.<\/p>\n

According her, she had difficulty in writing songs until God appeared to her in a dream one day.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI used to struggle to write songs. It was a prayer topic. First on my list. I used to pray about it. I remember I used to wait on the Lord for it.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter \u2018Supernatural\u2019, and at the time I was doing featured works for other artistes, it comes out and it\u2019s a hit and I am not able to come out with that song that will give me that attention that my ministry deserves so it was a need at the time but the Lord visited me in a special way.<\/p>\n

I had a dream and I saw myself on a very big field. And I was with someone. I believe it was God. I couldn\u2019t see him but I could hear his voice,\u201d Celestine narrated.<\/p>\n

She said God told her to look at the flowers on the field and when she did, she could hear they were all making sounds. And then the angel [God] told her to \u201cgo and sing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Celestine recounted that after that encounter, her spirit has always overflowed with songs.<\/p>\n

The 2020 Vodafone Ghana Awards Female Vocal Performance winner has produced hit songs such as\u00a0\u00a0\u2018Adekye Mu Nsem\u2019, \u2018Turning Around\u2019, \u2018Only You\u2019, \u2018Testimony\u2019, \u2018Bigger\u2019, \u2018Praise Him\u2019, among others.\u00a0<\/p>\n

She is currently out with her 8th album titled \u2018Final Say.\u2019<\/p>\n

At the moment, she is preparing to hold the 10th edition of her annual concert Celestial Praiz on 6th March, 2023 at the Dominion Sanctuary Victory Bible Church, Awoshie.\u00a0<\/p>\n
