{"id":22413,"date":"2023-02-26T20:25:30","date_gmt":"2023-02-26T20:25:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2023\/02\/26\/ci-making-ghana-card-sole-registration-document-not-passed\/"},"modified":"2023-02-26T20:25:30","modified_gmt":"2023-02-26T20:25:30","slug":"ci-making-ghana-card-sole-registration-document-not-passed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2023\/02\/26\/ci-making-ghana-card-sole-registration-document-not-passed\/","title":{"rendered":"CI making Ghana Card sole registration document not passed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Parliament has denied reports that a Constitutional Instrument seeking to make the Ghana Card the sole document registration document for elections has been passed.<\/p>\n<p>A statement by the Public Affairs Directorate of Parliament explained that the House only held pre-presentation discussions on the CI, to collect input from relevant sources for the drafting of the Constitutional Instrument (CI).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe attention of Parliament Ghana has been drawn to a report in the Ghanaian Times alleging that Parliament has passed a Constitutional Instrument (CI) to adopt the Ghana Card as the sole registration document.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cParliament states categorically that it has not passed any such instrument.
