The late Christian Atsu\u2019s family\u2019s spokesperson, Abraham Twasam, has revealed the plans the extended family has in store for the late footballer\u2019s children. <\/p>\n

Speaking to the media recently and echoed by Pak MediaGh, Abraham said Atsu\u2019s German wife, Maria Claire Rupio has informed the extended family that her children are worried about the absence of their father and want to know his whereabouts.<\/p>\n

He also said Rupio has been formally requested not to travel to Ghana to attend the one-week memorial service for her late husband until the family set a date for the burial, according to Abraham Twasam.<\/p>\n

Beyond that, the family revealed how they intend to authenticate Atsu\u2019s children\u2019s identity by giving them local names. <\/p>\n

\u201cHis wife calls us every day. She calls us every morning to ask us what is going on. She always says the children worry her, so she is always calling us to hear from us,\u201d Abraham Twasam stated in an\u00a0interview\u00a0<\/strong>that was published by Pak MediaGh.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve told her to wait until the funeral so she comes. We will give the children local names so that people will know they are from Ghana,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

In a related development, Sonnie Badu has mentioned that Christian Atsu\u2019s passing has a spiritual significance by insisting that there is more to the former Ghanaian international\u2019s tragic passing than meets the eye.<\/p>\n

The preacher and record-breaking gospel singer blamed \u201cyaanom\u201d for Atsu\u2019s passing and denied that the earthquake had anything to do with it on social media.<\/p>\n

As originally reported by\u00a0www.Ghbase.com<\/strong>, Christian Atsu passed away on Saturday at the age of 31. His agent and manager sadly confirmed this.<\/p>\n

The former Premier League player, who played for both Newcastle United and Chelsea, vanished on Tuesday, February 7, following the tragic earthquake that hit Turkey and Syria on Monday, February 6.<\/p>\n

Only hours before the tragic incident took place, he scored a last-second winner for his current club Hatayspor against Turkish Super Lig ris Kasimpasa on February 5 at home. Atsu joined the Turkish side in September of last year and was in Antakya at the time of earlier this month\u2019s earthquake.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
