{"id":135351,"date":"2023-12-28T16:59:25","date_gmt":"2023-12-28T16:59:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2023\/12\/28\/dvla-to-phase-out-old-manual-system-of-vehicle-registration-other-related-services\/"},"modified":"2023-12-28T16:59:25","modified_gmt":"2023-12-28T16:59:25","slug":"dvla-to-phase-out-old-manual-system-of-vehicle-registration-other-related-services","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2023\/12\/28\/dvla-to-phase-out-old-manual-system-of-vehicle-registration-other-related-services\/","title":{"rendered":"DVLA to phase out old manual system of vehicle registration, other related services \u2013"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p><strong>The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) has announced that it has migrated all services related to vehicle registration onto a digital platform which can be accessed online (online.dvla.gov.gh).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The DVLA indicated that it has phased out its old manual system of vehicle registration and other related services.<\/p>\n<p>This is to meet its target of eliminating identity theft and false representation in providing these services.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSecondly, the National Identity Register Regulations, 2012 (L) 2111), requires the mandatory use of the National Identity Card for transactions involving identity verification. This includes all services that involve applications and approvals,\u201d it added.<\/p>\n<p>The DVLA said it would accept only the National Identification Card for identity verification for all its services.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe verification shall be conducted in person at any DVLA office or remotely via the mobile app \u201cDVLA verify\u201d available for download on Google Player Apple Store,\u201d it added.<\/p>\n<p>The DVLA encouraged registered vehicle owners to visit any of its offices to authenticate their vehicle records and complete biometric identity verification.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is necessary to enhance security, ensure traceability, accountability and most importantly improve customer experience to drive productivity,\u201d it added.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/WhatsApp-Image-2023-12-27-at-12.29.48_d5040b93.jpg\" alt=\"DVLA to phase out old manual system of vehicle registration, other related services\" class=\"wp-image-1004458\" title=\"DVLA to phase out old manual system of vehicle registration other related services\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p><!-- AI CONTENT END 1 --><\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) has announced that it has migrated all services related to vehicle registration onto a digital platform which can be accessed online (online.dvla.gov.gh).
