Phil Foden said Manchester City always believed they could come from behind to see off Everton.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The champions survived another Premier League scare as second-half goals from Foden, Julian Alvarez and Bernardo Silva cancelled out Jack Harrison\u2019s in a 3-1 victory.<\/p>\n
City \u2014 who have just returned from winning the Club World Cup \u2014 moved back into the top four after winning their second straight away game in which they have conceded first.<\/p>\n
Foden, 23, told Amazon Prime: \u201cI thought we played really well in the first half and it seems to have been the same story as previous games.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cThe manager just said to believe in ourselves at half-time because we\u2019re a top team.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn the second half, wow. I think we blew them away with the way we played.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cI want to praise Everton because I think they\u2019ve been doing really well recently and are a top side.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cThey make it difficult. I\u2019m really happy with the result. It\u2019s a difficult place to come.\u201d<\/p>\n
City remain five points adrift of Liverpool in the title race, albeit having played a game less.<\/p>\n
But Foden suggested the Treble winners are getting closer to clicking into gear as a host of key stars near their returns from injury.<\/p>\n
The England international added: \u201cWe have massive players to come back in with the likes of Erling [Haaland], Jeremy Doku and Kevin [De Bruyne] so three important players.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen they come back, hopefully they make the team stronger. I\u2019m looking forward to them coming back.\u201d<\/p>\n
