{"id":129393,"date":"2023-12-10T11:40:01","date_gmt":"2023-12-10T11:40:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2023\/12\/10\/lawyers-threaten-to-sue-fg-over-kaduna-bombing\/"},"modified":"2023-12-10T11:40:01","modified_gmt":"2023-12-10T11:40:01","slug":"lawyers-threaten-to-sue-fg-over-kaduna-bombing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2023\/12\/10\/lawyers-threaten-to-sue-fg-over-kaduna-bombing\/","title":{"rendered":"Lawyers Threaten To Sue FG Over Kaduna Bombing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-902663\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/Screenshot_20231210-072630_Opera-Mini.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1080\" height=\"563\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>Lawyers under the auspices of the Concerned Northern Forum have threatened to file legal action against the Federal Government over last weekend\u2019s military airstrike that killed scores in Kaduna State.<\/p>\n<p>Recall that troops carrying out air interdictions on suspected terrorists mistakenly dropped bombs on villagers celebrating the Eid-el-Maulud at the Tudun Biri village in Igabi local government area of the State.<\/p>\n<p>The spokesman for the forum, Nafi\u2019u Abubakar, who addressed journalists in Kaduna on Saturday, urged the Federal Government to conduct a thorough and independent investigation into the incident.<\/p>\n<p>He said the forum would ensure that the families that suffered irreparable loss in the incident get justice.<\/p>\n<p><strong>READ ALSO: Kaduna: \u201cNo More Accidental Bombing, We\u2019ll Take Care Of Those Injured\u201d \u2013 Defence Chief<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Abubakar said: \u201cIt is imperative that those responsible are held accountable for their actions, and measures are put in place to prevent any recurrence of such incidents in the future.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe also urge the Nigerian Army to reevaluate its rules of engagement and training procedures to prevent the loss of innocent lives during military operations.
