No blame<\/h2>\n

Mikel Arteta has refused to blame David Raya after the goalkeeper\u2019s errors resulted in two of Luton\u2019s three goals against Arsenal on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

The Gunners went on to win the game 4-3 but their boss still leapt to the defence of his new No1, who has controversially displaced Aaron Ramsdale in goal this season.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cWe have to defend better the situations as a team.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere are certain things leading to the goals and it\u2019s not about blaming, we have never done it and we\u2019re not going to do it now.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s about how the team reacts to that, because it\u2019s going to happen and I love that response.\u201d<\/p>\n

Call me<\/h2>\n

Antony has admitted Manchester United are suffering an \u201cunstable\u201d season but expects results to improve in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n

The winger also took aim at pundits criticising his performances after scoring eight goals and laying on three in 58 appearances, encouraging them to speak to him personally.<\/p>\n

He told United Stand: \u201cThe season is not as good as we wanted. We are unstable.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut we lost a lot of injured players. With the return of part of the squad, we will improve and results will improve.<\/p>\n

\u201cToday, I see criticism coming from former club players but I\u2019ve never seen them give constructive criticism, which will help me be a better professional.<\/p>\n

\u201cNone of them have ever sent me a message to see how I am feeling, especially during this period of turbulence that I am going through.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy relationship with [Erik] Ten Hag has always been very good since Ajax. He taught me a lot and I owe him a lot for my professional evolution.\u201d<\/p>\n

Not an expert<\/h2>\n

Ange Postecoglou joked that James Maddison\u2019s medical opinion should not be taken too seriously after the midfielder said that his ankle injury was a \u201cslow burner\u201d.<\/p>\n

Maddison, 27, seemed to suggest the issue was not healing as fast as he had hoped but his boss reassured Tottenham fans that everything remains on track.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cI\u2019m not sure about James\u2019 medical qualifications or whether we should go with his diagnosis on these kinds of things.<\/p>\n

Put it in the net<\/h2>\n

Sean Dyche has called on his Everton side to find their shooting boots at Goodison Park ahead of Thursday\u2019s game against Newcastle.<\/p>\n

The Toffees have taken just four points from seven league matches on home soil this season, with their manager claiming calmness in front of goal is the major issue.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cI think putting it in the net [is the main thing]. The amount of chances we\u2019ve created \u2014 and the quality of chances as well.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve had good performances, I think, but we\u2019ve got to score goals.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019ve got to keep the belief. Keep creating, keep asking questions of the opposition, and then find the moment of truth.\u201d<\/p>\n

Zouma available after burglary<\/h2>\n

Kurt Zouma is available to play for West Ham at Tottenham on Thursday after a burglary at his house over the weekend meant he missed Sunday\u2019s 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace.<\/p>\n

Zouma and his family were at home during the break-in and David Moyes revealed his defender had been left shaken by the incident.<\/p>\n

Moyes said: \u201cHe\u2019s been back in. It\u2019s been a terrible situation for him, the club are supporting him really well.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s our captain and we\u2019re fully behind him, supportive. I don\u2019t think anybody would like it to happen to them.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe club have put a reward up and hopefully that can help get the people arrested for it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lost for words<\/h2>\n

Sarina Wiegman admitted she \u201cdoes not know what to say\u201d after England were cruelly denied a place in the Women\u2019s Nations League finals and the 2024 Olympics despite beating Scotland 6-0.<\/p>\n

The margin of victory seemed certain to be enough to bank qualification on both counts \u2014 only for the Netherlands to score twice in added time to seal a 4-0 win over Belgium and squeak through on goal difference.<\/p>\n

A disappointed Wiegman said: \u201cWe delivered tonight and we delivered this December camp. The team showed lots of character and we started the game really well.<\/p>\n

\u201cNetherlands scored in the late seconds and that\u2019s how close it was. It is really disappointing and you don\u2019t really have to say anything more.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you don\u2019t get through on goal difference then it is just not enough, that\u2019s the facts.\u201d<\/p>\n

Inter unveil one-off kit
Inter Milan will wear a special kit celebrating the Transformers film series against Udinese on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Forster be reckoned with
Fraser Forster has signed a contract extension at Tottenham, extending his stay at the club until 2025.<\/p>\n

The goalkeeper arrived in North London in the summer of 2022, making 21 appearances in Spurs colours.<\/p>\n

He was called up to the senior England squad in March 2023 but has predominantly been used as back-up to Guglielmo Vicario so far this term.<\/p>\n

The 35-year-old said: \u201cI have loved my time here so far and am delighted to extend that.<\/p>\n
