Spurs are still missing some key personnel but that means rotation is rare and Son is thought to be on penalties, though Tottenham are one of three teams to have not yet been awarded a spot-kick this season.

Erling Haaland

Haaland must put his fury to one side against Aston Villa / James Gill – Danehouse/GettyImages

Fixture: Aston Villa (A); Predicted Points: 7.7

An away game shouldn’t put Erling Haaland owners off awarding him the armband, as the Norwegian has managed 16-point hauls in each of his last two away games. Haaland also has penalties in his locker and scored in this fixture last term.

Hopefully – for FPL owners but maybe not Premier League defenders – he avoids an FA ban.

Mohamed Salah

Salah is still eyeing his 200th Liverpool goal / MB Media/GettyImages

Fixture: Sheffield United (A); Predicted Points: 7.0

Mohamed Salah might be third in the AI rankings but remains top of the FPL scoring charts and is winning the race for the armband in my team as Liverpool travel to manager-less Sheffield United, who have the worst defensive record this season.

Salah has returned two goals and two assists in the last four gameweeks and is also on penalties, with Liverpool winning four spot-kicks already in this campaign.
