{"id":127559,"date":"2023-12-05T10:07:52","date_gmt":"2023-12-05T10:07:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2023\/12\/05\/ogun-cng-buses-begin-mowe-berger-operations\/"},"modified":"2023-12-05T10:07:52","modified_gmt":"2023-12-05T10:07:52","slug":"ogun-cng-buses-begin-mowe-berger-operations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2023\/12\/05\/ogun-cng-buses-begin-mowe-berger-operations\/","title":{"rendered":"Ogun CNG Buses Begin Mowe-Berger Operations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-902066\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/Screenshot_20231205-072820_Opera-Mini.jpg\" alt=\"Dapo Abiodun CNG bus \" width=\"1080\" height=\"707\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>The Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) powered buses of the Ogun State government, tagged \u2018DapoCNG Bus,\u2019 has commenced operations along the Mowe-Ibafo-Berger Lagos axis of the State on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>According to the State Commissioner for Transportation, Gbenga Dairo, the buses are to operate ahead of the introduction Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) along the axis.<\/p>\n<p>The buses would be operating between 6 am to 9 pm from Mondays to Saturdays and 7 am to 6 pm on Sundays, with bus stops at Mowe, Ibafo, Magboro, Arepo, and New Garage in Berger.<\/p>\n<p>Dairo noted that the transport rates on the CNG powered buses range from N200 to N400.00 maximum.<\/p>\n<p>The Commissioner said every necessary arrangement has been concluded with all the stakeholders, including transport unions and local government officials, for the smooth take-off of the scheme.<\/p>\n<p><strong>READ ALSO: \u2018Attack Was Unintended\u2019 \u2014 Army Takes Responsibility For Air Strike Which Killed Kaduna Villagers<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cExpectations are quite high, the services are much anticipated, and the timing of start of operations with Xmas activities at the RCCG camp much valued by commuters<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCommuters along that axis are encouraged to patronize these buses as they are convenient, safe and affordable with promises to give an endearing smooth experience while on the road,\u201d Dairo said.<\/p>\n<p>Governor Dapo Abiodun announced the deployment of the CNG Technology and E- Mobility as a better alternative and viable means of transportation in the Gateway State<\/p>\n<p>This, he said, is a cost-effective transportation system with little impact on the environment and a direct response by his administration devised to mitigate the adverse impact of fuel \u2018subsidy removal\u2019 on transport costs experienced by commuters in the State.<\/p>\n<p>Abiodun said the scheme, which started along Adatan to Ita-Oshin corridor in the Abeokuta metropolis will be extended to other towns and cities in the state.<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-7\" style=\"margin: 8px auto; text-align: center; display: block; clear: both;\">\n<div data-advadstrackid=\"890536\" data-advadstrackbid=\"1\" class=\"infor-target\" id=\"infor-700647749\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/300x250b.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"250\"\/><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) powered buses of the Ogun State government, tagged \u2018DapoCNG Bus,\u2019 has commenced operations along the Mowe-Ibafo-Berger Lagos axis of the State on Monday.
