Global Afrobeats star, investor, and entrepreneur Mr Eazi recently shared a heartfelt story about how iconic Ghanaian musicians Sarkodie and Mugeez were crucial in saving his career during his university days.<\/p>\n

Mr. Eazi, who started as an event organizer in college, recounted a challenging experience when some artists he had booked for an award show couldn\u2019t attend due to financial constraints.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn my early days as an event organizer at the university, I faced a situation where some artists I had booked for an award show couldn\u2019t attend due to monetary issues.<\/p>\n

People caught me, and that\u2019s when upcoming artists in my school started being my friends, allowing me to book them for events. Although we lost more money than we made throwing parties, we continued because we loved having projects and seeing them come together. So, we transitioned to award shows, and I organized the first social awards at my university,\u201d Mr Eazi narrated.<\/p>\n

As a student, he recalled booking Sarkodie, R2Bees, and Wande Coal for the event. Unfortunately, Wande Coal didn\u2019t appear at the show, leading to misconceptions that Mr. Eazi had run away with the money. Reflecting on the challenging situation, Mr Eazi revealed, \u201cI didn\u2019t know that he [Wande Coal] didn\u2019t receive his full money.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite financial constraints and incomplete payments, Mr. Eazi approached Sarkodie and Mugeez humbly.<\/p>\n

\u201cI remember begging Sarkodie, who was owed $2,500.00, pleading with him even though I hadn\u2019t paid him completely. He came on stage, saving me with his presence. That\u2019s why, till today, R2Bees\u2019 Mugeez is more than a friend; he\u2019s a brother. He came, jumped on stage, and killed it,\u201d Mr Eazi expressed<\/p>\n
