In this video, he expresses his gratitude towards Gun Shot, a protege of Dr. Likee, for generously covering his rent.<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"ezoic-pub-ad-placeholder-909\" data-method=\"placement-service\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The video, which was shared on TikTok, captures the actor, whose real name is Emmanuel Nii Adom Quaye, at the beach, showering Gun Shot with praise for playing a crucial role in his journey towards greater success.<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"ezoic-pub-ad-placeholder-910\" data-method=\"placement-service\"\/><span id=\"ezoic-pub-ad-placeholder-122\" data-inserter-version=\"2\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Strika, visibly moved, recounts how Gun Shot provided him with the funds to secure a new place to live after his previous residence was destroyed by fire. While Abraham Atta continued to thrive and show potential for the future, Strika unfortunately squandered his opportunity by succumbing to drug use and wasting the money he earned from the movie. Recently, a video surfaced showing the young actor selling coconuts from a wheelbarrow, struggling to make a living.<\/p>\n<p>This is not the first time Strika has been seen on the streets of Accra. In 2018, entertainment journalist Caleb Nii Boye encountered him and took the initiative to help him leave the streets. According to a report on Ghana weekend.com, Strika revealed that his managers had not given him the $30,000 payment he was owed by the producers of \u2018Beasts of Nations\u2019.<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"ezoic-pub-ad-placeholder-912\" data-method=\"placement-service\"\/><span id=\"ezoic-pub-ad-placeholder-123\" data-inserter-version=\"2\"\/><\/p>\n<p>In an interview, Strika expressed his preference for learning a trade rather than returning to school. The headteacher of Cape Coast Montessori also confirmed that Strika was involved in drug use during that time and displayed a rebellious attitude. Despite the initial offers of assistance from the media and concerned individuals, nothing substantial materialized to support Strika in getting back on his feet.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"ezoic-autoinsert-video ezoic-mid_content\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Beasts of No Nation, a war drama film released in 2015, was written, co-produced, shot, and directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga. The story revolves around a young boy who is forced to become a child soldier during a devastating civil war in his country.<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"ezoic-pub-ad-placeholder-913\" data-method=\"placement-service\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Filmed in Ghana, the movie features a talented cast including Idris Elba, Abraham Attah, Ama K. Abebrese, Grace Nortey, David Dontoh, and Opeyemi Fagbohungbe. It is based on the 2005 novel of the same name by Uzodinma Iweala, which takes its title from a Fela Kuti album.<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"ezoic-pub-ad-placeholder-124\" data-inserter-version=\"2\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The film gained recognition and acclaim, being screened in the main competition section of the 72nd Venice International Film Festival, where it received the prestigious Marcello Mastroianni Award. It was also showcased in the Special Presentation section of the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival.
