Evangelist Diana Asamoah is a firm believer that Dr Bawumia will be the future president of Ghana after H.E Nana Addo.

According to the Ghanaian Gospel musician, the NPP flagbearer will be victorious in the next 2024 general elections by the grace of God. Diana Asamoah, an evangelist, was interviewed on Hitz FM.

During her visit on the Day Break Hitz show, the host, Andy Dosty, asked her if she still supported the NPP, to which she replied, “I still support the NPP, and I will even drop a campaign song for Dr Mahamudu Bawumia very soon.”

“I am calling a spade a spade,” the Gospel singer continued. When asked if she believes Ghana’s current Vice President may become President after the 2014 elections, she said, “Every day God does new things, so he will do it again.”

When asked if she will be unhappy if Bawumia does not win, she says in the video below, “Nana Addo has contested and lost before, but I wasn’t disappointed and supported him until he won, so Dr Bawumia will win in Jesus’ name.”

In defending her political involvement and devotion to the New Patriotic Party (NPP), she claims that celebrities in other nations openly declare their political opinions as well.

She likened Ghana’s political scene to that of other countries, using the United States as an example, where celebrities publicly announce their support for politicians.

“Looking at Obama, when he was running for president, all the celebrities supported him, so why can’t we celebrities in Ghana also choose who to support?” She questioned.

Diana Asamoah went on to say that politics began in Heaven and can be found in many sectors of life, including the church.

“Did you know that politics began in Heaven?” It can be found in all facets of our daily life, including work, church, and even Heaven,” she explained.

When pressed to clarify, Diana Asamoah cited a Bible text about the conflict in heaven, which began when the Devil attempted to take God’s power.

“When God placed the devil in charge of all the singers in Heaven, the devil desired to seize power in Heaven.” “That’s politics,” she explained.

Vice President Dr. Mahmudu Bawumia won the 2024 general elections’ flagbearership race with 61.43 percent of valid votes in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) internal battle.

The Director of Electoral Services at the Electoral Commission, Dr. Serebour Quaicoe, revealed that Dr. Bawumia won with 118,210 votes out of 193,339 voted at the Ohene Gyan Sports Stadium in Accra.

The election was held in 275 polling locations and 17 regional centers, including NPP headquarters.

Dr. Bawumia faced strong opposition in the ‘showdown elections’, including Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, former Minister of Food and Agriculture Dr. Owusu Afriyie-Akoto, and Francis Addai-Nimoh, former Mampong MP.

Dr. Bawumia’s victory makes him the NPP’s 2024 flagbearer, a milestone in the party’s history. He is the first Northerner to lead the NPP, which is based on the ‘Danquah-Dombo-Busia’ ideas.

At the August 26 Super Delegates Conference, 10 notable party members competed for flagbearer, reducing the field to five.

Kennedy Agyapong came in second with 68.15 percent of the vote. After placing third, Alan Kyerematen left the contest and the NPP to start his political party, citing unjust treatment.

The National Council of Elders of the Party helped all four aspirants sign an agreement to accept the primary results, encouraging peace and unity within the party.

It appears that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will head the NPP in the key 2024 elections, a turning point in its political history.
