– Rangers are unbeaten in eight matches since Philippe Clement took charge Rangers welcome Aris Limassol to Ibrox for Europa League Group C action on Thursday in what promises to be an entertaining spectacle in Glasgow.

Under the temporary guidance of Steven Davis, the Gers lost 2-1 in the reverse fixture back in October, but Philippe Clement is now at the helm and revenge will be on the mind of the Scottish giants.

Rangers sit second in Group C, two points behind Real Betis and three clear of Sparta Prague in third, while Limassol are a further point in arrears but still in contention to go through.

It is building up to be a fascinating final couple of games in this pool as all four teams aim to prolong their stays in Europe, either by remaining in this competition or dropping into the Europa Conference League.

Rangers are without the services of Nicolas Raskin, who is sidelined with an injury, but John Souttar is available for selection after overcoming a recent issue.

Limassol may again have to make do without star forward Yannick Gomis, who missed the home win over APOEL last time out because of injury.

Rangers are unbeaten in eight matches since Clement took the reins, winning six and drawing two, while the Gers have won all three home games under the Belgian.

The Scottish giants have excelled in the final third, scoring 19 goals in this unbeaten streak, but they have looked fragile at the back and have kept just one clean sheet from their last four outings.

Limassol have lost three of their four group fixtures and they suffered back-to-back 4-1 defeats on the road before beating APOEL 1-0 last time out.

Aleksey Shpilevsky’s side have lost all three away Europa League assignments this season, going down 2-1 at Slovan Bratislava in qualifying before losing 3-2 at Sparta Prague and 4-1 at Betis.

Rangers have kicked on since that shock defeat to Limassol in October and the appointment of Clement has restored confidence to a squad that looked lost under Michael Beale.

It has not been a perfect start for the Belgian and his side needed a late penalty last time out to snatch a 1-1 draw at Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership, so the manager knows there is work to be done.

Saying that, they should have enough to gain revenge on a Limassol side that have struggled on the road and have lost their last two away fixtures 4-1.

That leaky defence is a huge concern and the Cypriot outfit could see their defence breached on multiple occasions, with over 3.5 goals landing in three of Rangers’ last five home games.

Win up to £250,000 with our free-to-play game, LiveScore 6!
