It won the Un Certain Regard section\u2019s Prix de Libert\u00e9 (Freedom Prize) at Cannes.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u2018Goodbye Julia\u2019<\/em> is also Sudan\u2019s second-ever submission for the Oscar Academy Award International Feature Film category.<\/p>\n<p>The film is set against the backdrop of the 2011 secession of South Sudan, with Lupita set to contribute her voice to support the film\u2019s mission of conveying its powerful message to a global audience.<\/p>\n<p>The \u2018Black Panther\u2019 star expressed the profound impact of \u201cGoodbye Julia\u201d as a poignant portrayal of the ongoing conflict in Sudan, a crisis with far-reaching consequences across Eastern Africa.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201c\u2018Goodbye Julia\u2019 is a powerful representation of the conflict happening in Sudan right now, which affects millions of lives across Eastern Africa.
