It\u2019s hard work. After high school, I was heavily involved with community drama groups and that\u2019s how I was spotted.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Journalism Background:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cI am a journalist by training.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Career Challenges:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThe main challenge I face being an actress, is that of time management. As a woman actor, I never have enough time to spend with my loved ones because we are always on set. Imagine you are someone\u2019s wife or a mother, and you have to leave home at dawn and return at midnight. But what choice do we have? You need to have someone understanding.\u201d<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-301673\" alt=\"\" width=\"548\" height=\"670\"  data-lazy- src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/neema.jpg\"\/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-301673\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/neema.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"548\" height=\"670\"  \/><\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Evolution in the Film Industry:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cI love what the film industry has become, gone are the days when it was all male-dominated. The roles have since changed, we are seeing more women taking on bigger roles and even earning more.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Father\u2019s Support:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cI dearly miss my father. May his soul rest in peace. When I started this acting journey I didn\u2019t expect it, but he was supportive of my endeavors. Not so many people get that kind of support in our African set-up.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Struggles with Fame:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cYes, I do struggle with fame. Expectations of people of me out there are very high if you know what I mean. They forget we are all trying to make ends meet.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Social Impact of Fame:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cSocially my life has had to change because of fame. For instance, I just can\u2019t walk on the streets, buy mahindi choma and enjoy it in peace. Otherwise, there will be some paparazzi out there, looking to parade me on the blogs. Or you get swamped by fans. I miss a normal life.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Love Life Unaffected:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThe good thing is fame hasn\u2019t affected my love life because as far as I\u2019m concerned the two are two different worlds.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Crush on COTU Boss Francis Atwoli:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cNo, I don\u2019t have a crush on Atwoli (Francis). Yes, I know what I said and it trended but hey that was just content.
